The Dahshur necropolis preserves some of the most important evidence of the evolution of Egyptian funerary architecture.

Here stand the pyramids commissioned by Pharaoh Snefru, including the Bent Pyramid, recognizable by its distinctive change in angle caused by adjustments made during construction, and the Red Pyramid, considered the first true pyramid with a square base and a constant inclination.

The entire site represents an authentic laboratory of monumental engineering in ancient Egypt.
